Spreading our Wings with Shane and Bradley

The Hark team is growing quickly and we’d like to introduce you to Shane Ellams, Business Development Director and Bradley Halstead, Software Engineer.

Meet Shane…

Shane is responsible for the overall management of all strategic and operational Marketing and Customer Relationship activities. He provides market feedback to the company leadership team regarding competitive offerings, prospect needs and generates product development ideas.

Shane comes from a background of business development from his previous role at Dekra he scoped the work for Process safety experts to perform Comprehensive Safety Audits, HAZOP, DSEAR / ATEX, HAC, QRA, EPD, LOPA, SIL as well as account management and client prospecting.

Shane has a Masters in Mechanical Engineering from Leeds University and worked as an Industrial Engineer at Brose. Brose is the worlds fifth-largest, family-owned automotive supplier. His role included assembly line optimisation, lean manufacturing and fault reduction through Six Sigma. Shane’s experience as an industrial engineer taught him the dynamics of working within an engineering team and the principles of lean manufacturing, particularly in plant optimisation.

Meet Bradley…

Bradley is a Software Engineer at Hark and will be creating and maintaining the software service.

He’s lived in Bradford all of his life but is in the process of moving to Leeds to be closer to work.

At 16 Bradley became interested in development and went to a college in Leeds to study creative computing where he met Andrew Hathaway, the Hark CTO.

Bradley then moved on to an apprenticeship for a year with Icelolly Marketing based around web development, he was subsequently hired thanks to his exemplary work during his apprenticeship.
