Alarm Statuses

There are two distinct statuses that Alarms can have:

• Open - This status refers to an Alarm where a condition has been triggered but not yet acknowledged or resolved.
• Closed - This status refers to an Alarm that has been actioned, whether it has been deemed acceptable (and ignored), or found to require an engineer's attention. The reason for an Alarm's closure is reflected in the closing comments (please see "Closing an Alarm" [[LINK]]).

In some places in the Alarms module, we also refer to "opened" Alarms. This refers to Alarms that have been opened at some point in time, regardless of their current status. "Opened" is not a status.
