Manage and Monitor Energy & Industrial Assets
A cloud-based energy optimisation platform, designed specifically for C&I professionals in energy and operations. The Hark Platform is a single pane of glass for all asset monitoring, management, control, alerting and reporting – regardless of asset vendor or type.
Energy Management Software allows you to connect equipment such as PV Inverters, Energy Storage Batteries, Utility Meters, Gateways and other industrial equipment (Lighting, HVAC, Refrigeration, etc.), through the use of an on-site industrial gateway. This device communicates with your equipment via communications protocols (such as BACnet, ModBus, SunSpec).
Once connected, Hark’s Energy Management Software provides detailed insights, organised into sites, spaces and equipment. Meaning you can drill into data from a high-level, all the way down to specific equipment, enabling data-driven decision making.
The addition of alarms, reporting, automation and control transforms this software into a high-powered optimisation tool. Meaning automated energy management or operational strategies can be set up in order to fully optimise processes and energy use.
Everything you need to know about our Energy Management Software, The Hark Platform, in a handy 3-page pdf.
The Hark Platform makes connectivity of energy and industrial assets a stress-free process, empowering users to add new equipment in just a few clicks.
Unlock operational data and energy analytics. Structure your data into Sites, Spaces and Equipment, for organised data exploration. Add custom dashboards to access the data you need, at a glance.
A selection of off-the-shelf and bespoke control strategies are available to intelligently control energy assets such as Solar PV, Energy Storage Batteries, Generators and Meters.
Programs include:
Understand your estate health and be informed when something potentially hazardous or revenue-impacting is happening within your estate.
The Hark G100 compliant Export Limitation device is an officially ENA type approved device which is one of very few available on the ENA type test register.
Distributed generation and storage devices at any site with a single grid point can be connected and independently controlled, in order to maximise self-consumption and minimise disruption to the site.
Group a limitless number of inverters, grid meters, and isolators to suit the site, customer needs, and DNO requirements, allowing complex sites to be managed under G100 constraints from a single, simple to configure installer interface.
Hark’s G100 Export Limitation Device can be deployed with wireless point-to-point, meaning that distributed generation assets, spread across multiple sites and buildings can still be centrally controlled using this device – this can also help save on deployment costs.
Some installers aren’t able to work with High Voltage connections. When this is a challenge we can instead connect to LV distribution points, and summate energy consumption from this, in order to limit export.
Connect with a variety different vendor and model types. Seamlessly connect with with Solar PV Inverters, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), Diesel Generators, Energy Meters and other energy assets supported by ModBus, SunSpec, BACnet or other industry standard communications protocols.
Our device can be quickly set up by your chosen installer, therefore making operating and maintenance fees lower. Our “fit and forget” hardware will need no further intervention once installed, and will work to your specification in the background.
In comparison to other market competitors, our G100 compliant Export Limitation device starts at a considerably lower price point and can be scaled indefinitely.
Since 2018 we’ve been building a relationship with a Sainsbury’s who have over 2000+ locations across the country and command a 14% share of the industry. The retail giant contacted our team with a specific goal in mind: to gain and increase visibility and control of assets within their estate with regards to their energy usage.
Using the Hark Edge Controller, we helped a rural customer connect to and control microgrid assets such as Energy Meters, Solar PV and Energy Storage Batteries, in order to meet import/export limitations, maximise on self-consumption and optimise microgrid energy efficiency.
