What is a Building Management System?
A Building Management System (or BMS) is a device which monitors and controls building level assets such as; Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC), Lighting, Energy, Power, Physical Access Control and more.
A Building Management System is sometimes referred to as a Building Automation System (BAS), a Building Maintenance System (BMS) or a Building Energy Management System (BEMS). A BMS can also be used to control building assets.
Building automation controls can be set up in order to improve energy efficiency and operational processes. A BMS will have the capability to read data from building assets and physically change set points to affect things like building temperature or lighting.
Maximise BMS Capabilities
With the ability to both send and receive data from the BMS, we empower advanced BMS control strategies with close attention to detail.
Pull hundreds of data points that the BMS cannot read natively and use this data for highly advanced building control.
Increased Energy Efficiency
Monitor and breakdown the impact of BMS connectivity and control strategies on your energy consumption.
See real-time improvements to energy use as you optimise building operations using the Hark Platform.

Enhanced Fault Detection and Diagnostics (FDD)
Hark’s Rules and Automations Engine can detect asset faults, highlight urgent issues and create automated actions or alerts to instantly resolve issues.
Enable Predictive Maintenance
Keep your assets functioning at their very best by closely monitoring (consumption, vibration, temperature) and maintaining only when necessary.
Improving Operational Efficiency
Circumvent bureau and support desk bottlenecks by integrating directly into the BMS. The Hark Platform will become your central hub for automated building controls, allowing maintenance actions and automations to be triggered instantly.
Communications Protocol Agnostic
Regardless of communications protocol, your BMS, Sensors, Metering, Solar Assets, and more, can all be connected to The Hark Platform seamlessly.
Energy Cost Reduction
Gain an understanding of how BMS automations are impacting your energy consumption to give financial context to positive changes driven by BMS connectivity.
Advanced Building Control Strategies
The Hark Platform offers a single pane of glass for all of your asset data, whether that’s solar, sensor, meter, BMS, or anything else. Bring all data visualisation, alerting, and automations under one roof with Hark.
Create Advanced Smart Building Solutions with BMS Connectivity
By connecting devices and assets, we can create advanced building management strategies that include custom dashboards, automated control, predictive maintenance via alerting, and much more.
Here are some of the ways The Hark Platform integrates into smart buildings:
Easily connect to any BMS regardless of vendor or model.
