What is Real-time Alerting?

We use real-time alerting to help drive efficiency in organisations. Real-time alerting is critical for empowering predictive maintenance and therefore reducing unnecessary maintenance callouts. Specific criteria can be set in The Hark Platform, and once the set thresholds are surpassed, an automatic message will be sent to the relevant person.

Alerts can have varying levels of severity and can be related to any variable, such as temperature, vibration, light, energy consumption, flow, pulse output and anything else you’re monitoring in The Hark Platform.

How Does Real-time Alerting Increase Efficiency?

Real-time alerting helps to mitigate asset malfunctions, production line issues and other kinds of critical events that could result in costly downtime. When an asset shows signs of heading toward failure, The Hark Platform will detect this instantly and ensure the right person is aware of how severe this issue is by sending an alert through Teams, Slack, SMS or Email (and more).

This kind of proactive approach to asset health and maintenance also minimises the need for manual checks and inspections, which increases cost efficiency.

On top of these operational performance advantages, there is a health and safety benefit to having real-time alerting too: faster response times mean that critical events are more easily mitigated and people working in the industrial environment are therefore better prepared and protected.
